How we research and update our guides

    Published Our editorial process
    Last updated

Every guide on Low T Check is written from published Australian sources and updated when guidelines change. This page explains how.

    Who checks our content

Our guides are researched and checked by our editorial team against the sources listed on each page. We do not currently have named medical reviewers. Named medical reviewers will be listed on this page when they are appointed.

    What our checks cover

    • Clinical claims (reference ranges, diagnostic thresholds, treatment options) are checked against the current Endocrine Society of Australia and RACGP guidelines.
    • Costs and PBS eligibility are checked against the current PBS schedule.
    • External links are verified to point to primary, authoritative sources.
    • Tone is checked so information is balanced, does not overpromise and does not cause unnecessary worry.

    Update cadence

    • Routine update check: every 12 months, or sooner if a page receives high traffic.
    • Triggered update: within 30 days of a relevant Australian guideline update, PBS schedule change, or TGA safety advisory.
    • Reader-flagged corrections: investigated within 7 days and corrected with a visible updated date.

    Limits

Our guides are general health information. It cannot replace a consultation with your own GP or specialist, who has access to your full medical history and can examine you.

The ADAM symptom check shows whether your symptoms may be worth discussing with a doctor. You can also request a callback to get matched with a men's health doctor at a partner clinic, by telehealth or in person, for an assessment.
